1930's Hagers (Gretsch) Artist Series "Sunburst"
Built in Brooklyn by Gretsch guitars for the Hagers School of Music in Grand Rapids, Michigan, this incredible, one-owner guitar is a truly remarkable piece of guitar history! A beautiful 15 inch body with checkerboard binding, this guitar is in remarkable condition for its age. The great playing neck is playable all the way up the fingerboard, while the pearloid headstock overlay and tortoise shell guard give this guitar a unique appearance. What makes this instrument even better is it includes a photo of the original owner along with her entire class at Hager's School of Music, as well as a photo of the interior of the music school and the original hardshell case. A unique guitar with a fully documented history, this is not just a great instrument but a real time capsule! EXC w/OHSC
