1961 Gibson EB-3 "Cherry"
An Exceptionally clean, near-mint example of the legendary Gibson EB-3 Bass! The instrument of choice for bass players like Jack Bruce and countless other English rock players, the versatile set up of a large humbucking pickup in the neck and a mini humbucking pickup in the bridge position and 4-way switch makes this an ideal choice for nearly any style of music. This is one of the cleanest examples we've seen, with a vibrant "cherry" finish, nickel hardware, and the original hardshell case and hang tag! The earliest EB-3 model featured a black plastic pickup cover for the neck pickup, while later examples in '62 and beyond featured nickel covers. This transitional early '61 model features a plastic cover in a chrome paint directly from the factory. Free from any of the breaks or repairs found on many of these guitars, this is simply the nicest EB-3 you'll find available!
