Zemaitis GZAS300-Heart "Natural"
Tony Zemaitis is the man responsible for many iconic instruments used by some of music's biggest names. When he passed away in 2002, Greco guitars Japan acquired a license to build guitars under his name using his iconic designs. This GZA300 model was made available in the Japanese market but rarely appeared for sale in the US. It's comfortable, small body size make it an ideal stage guitar, while the K+K pure mini electronics make it a reliable instrument in a band setting. This guitar features a solid spruce top for excellent projection, and is bound in beautiful abalone, including the famous Zemaitis heart shaped rosette. A smiley face bridge and engraved headstock logo are nods to Tony's innovations, as well. To make this fantastic sounding guitar even more special, a previous owner had Danny O'brien, engraver behind all of Tony Zemaitis's original guitars metal work, contribute a custom truss rod cover. This is both an instrument and a showcase for Danny's artwork and a faithful tribute to the guitar innovations of one of the most original luthiers of his time.
