1950's Kay Thin Twin K162 "Tobacco Burst"
This hollowbody Kay bass is one of the most interesting basses we've had in a while. The unique build features a narrow fingerboard with a very deep V neck shape, creating a feel somewhat similar to an upright bass. The body is made from an impressively flamey maple top and back with mahogany sides. And with a single lipstick pickup, this bass has all the thump and woodiness you'd expect from a hollowbody bass, with some extra vintage vibe. Includes the very road worn original hard shell case, a vintage leather strap, and a letter from one of the original owners with photos of him playing the bass.
