1964 Epiphone Frontier "Sunburst"

1964 Epiphone Frontier "Sunburst"

Just in for sale is a gorgeous 1964 Epiphone Frontier in Sunburst.  This guitar is all original and sounds absolutely fantastic! The '64 features a killer Spruce top sunburst finish, maple back/sides, cacti and rope pickguard, rectangular inlays, gold hardware, classic adjustable bridge and Kluson tuners. There's a reason artists like Chris Stapleton play these guitars, they look and sound amazing!

This exact guitar was used as a template by Epiphone for their more recent "USA Collection" reissue of the Frontier made in Bozeman, Montana!  Gibson employees took measurements of the neck and body and traced outlines of the pickguard and headstock to use as the blueprints for the reissues. This truly is the pinnacle of Epiphone Acoustics!

Some people are under the impression these days that Epiphone guitars are lower quality instruments, but that wasn't always true. Epiphone was an independant company that was a strong competitor to Gibson until 1958 when Gibson bought the Epiphone brand. Epiphone guitars were made at the Kalamazoo, Michigan Gibson plant alongside all the Gibson guitars from 1958 until 1970. The quality of these guitars made by Gibson at the time were fantastic!

Comes with the original hardshell case!
