1966 Fender Electric XII "Sunburst" with Case

1966 Fender Electric XII "Sunburst"

An iconic, though short lived model in Fender's history, the Electric XII sought to capitalize on the "folk rock" trend of the mid 60s, but wound up on some timeless records by bands like Led Zeppelin, The Who, and Johnny Winter who used his strung as a 6 string for his Woodstock performance. This 1966 model features a perfect, medium sized "C" profile with a rosewood fingerboard, "transition" fender logo, and the distinct "hockey stick" style headstock found on these guitars. A previous owner appears to have installed a thumb rest, no longer present, leaving two screw holes in the pickguard but this is an otherwise original example in great shape. This guitar includes an Ibanez case that fits the guitar perfectly.
