1972 Fender Mustang “Competition Red”
Though designed for student guitarists, the Fender Mustang caught on with indie and alternative players in the 80s and 90s and has since remained a favorite of many players, This 1972 example is one of the cleanest "competition red" finishes we've seen lately, complete with a white pearloid guard, dark rosewood fingerboard, and original silver hardshell case. The short scale and comfortable "C" Shaped neck make this a great player, and it simply doesn't get cooler than the "competition Red" racing stripe finish. A fantastic vintage Fender electric that won't break the bank.
