This guitar is as close as it gets to the original 1954 Stratocaster! Built in Fender's Custom Shop by masterbuilder Chris Flemming to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stratocaster, this early 2005 example features an accurate "U" shaped neck, custom wound 50's style bakelite pickups, and the body contours and two-tone Sunburst finish found on the original first-year Strats. It includes two original cases, one an accurate reproduction of the original form-fit Strat case, as well as a 50's style guitar strap and the original "case candy". The lightweight ash body features subtle finish checking that really make this guitar virtually indestinguashable from the real thing.
