One of Fender's earliest vintage reissue models, this 1982 Fender '57 Stratocaster is a rare custom color example in "Candy Apple Red". At the tail end of the CBS era Fender returned to the Golden Age '50s and '60s specs. The result was the excellent "V" series vintage reissues. This Stratocaster delivers the feel and tone of the golden era, with its comfortable maple neck and trio of single coil pickups. In 1982 most production was relocated to Japan, so American made V-plate custom color models are exceptionally rare. The pickguard has been swapped on this guitar but the original is included in the original hardshell case.
